Joshua Roberts is a self-taught sculptor and designer from North Devon, working from a studio in Herne Hill, London. His objects begin as sketches or freely modelled forms in clay and plaster before being cast through a Devon foundry. Bronze-resin and chalk-resin composites are hand-finished and waxed, retaining the surface detail of the original sculpture. Natural forms and the proportions of industrial and craft design inform collections of sculptures and table lamps. Alongside made-to-order pieces and occasional limited editions, he develops bespoke commissions for private clients and commercial partners seeking sculptural works for interiors.
