Brook Hobbins is a sculptor based on the East Kent coast whose practice centres on portraiture and the human figure. She models in clay and wax, producing work cast in bronze or Jesmonite as well as a smaller range of slip-cast ceramics. Her broader practice includes narrative and relief sculpture, observational drawing and limited-edition prints. Portrait commissions can be developed through sittings, photographs or a combination of both, including historical and posthumous subjects. A member of the Society of Portrait Sculptors, she also teaches figurative sculpture at her Westgate-on-Sea studio and welcomes public and private commissions.
