About
RAEBURN is Christopher Raeburn's London creative studio, which developed from an independent fashion label into a practice spanning clothing, products, materials and installations. Established in 2009, its early work transformed a military pilot's parachute into eight garments, retaining the material's existing seams, panels and markings. The studio organises its approach around RÆMADE, RÆDUCED and RÆCYCLED, using surplus objects as starting points and examining resource use throughout a product's life. Its work combines research with physical prototyping, including the study and deconstruction of flight suits, parachutes and other functional equipment. Today its design studio, atelier and archive operate together in Greenwich Peninsula's Design District, supported by specialist makers and manufacturing partners.
