Olwen Bourke is a Dublin-based fashion designer creating made-to-order womenswear and bridal pieces. Embroidery, Irish lace and vintage textiles are central to her practice, translated into contemporary silhouettes through traditional handcraft. She studied fashion at the National College of Art and Design before working in London and Paris on television, film and performance-related design. Experience making individual pieces for private clients and special occasions helped shape her later independent work. She launched her namesake bridal label in 2018 and introduced a ready-to-wear collection in 2024. Collaborations with Irish lace makers support bespoke embellishment and an ongoing interest in preserving specialist craft techniques.
