Emma Sofie is an independent fashion label founded by designer Emma Sofie Nielsen in Copenhagen. Its clothing is designed, developed and produced by a small team in the Copenhagen studio, keeping pattern development, cutting and sewing closely connected. Most garments are made to order rather than produced as large advance stocks, allowing the studio to work in small quantities and adjust designs between production runs. The collections focus on distinctive, wearable pieces, with the making process tied to actual customer demand. Local production also allows the team to remain involved through the final packing of an order. The website presents current garments and explains the difference between made-to-order production and pieces already available from stock.
