Reiko Kaneko is a London-based ceramicist, designer and educator working on manufactured products and bespoke commissions. After graduating from Central Saint Martins, she established her creative studio in London in 2007 and began taking on bespoke tableware, glassware and teaware commissions in 2009. A move to Stoke-on-Trent in 2012 gave her access to the city's pottery manufacturing knowledge and opportunities to experiment with production and the supply chain. She returned to London in 2017 to build a garden studio while continuing the Stoke-on-Trent operation at a smaller scale. Her practice focuses on developing an understanding of material and form, and includes handmade bone china, small collections and specialist restaurant tableware. She has also taught on the MA Ceramics course at Staffordshire University, beginning in 2018.
