Anna Silverton is a ceramic artist working from a purpose-built studio in Ramsgate, Kent, where she relocated in 2022. She specialises in wheel-thrown porcelain, shaping vessels whose carefully considered profiles are developed alongside individually judged glazing. Her vases and bowls evolve in relation to earlier pieces, with proportion, surface and silhouette explored both within a single object and between groups of works. She completed an MA in Ceramics at the Royal College of Art, then lived and worked in New York, teaching and maintaining a studio at Syracuse University. On returning to Britain, she established a London studio with a Crafts Council grant before her later move to Ramsgate. Alongside gallery exhibitions and fairs such as Collect, her practice includes public and private architectural commissions in international settings.
