Anna Collette Hunt is a Nottingham-based ceramic artist whose practice centres on insects, natural-history collections and the preservation of nature. She begins with drawing and modelling, transforming observed specimens into imagined forms with antlers, layered wings and extended antennae. Each ceramic insect is made individually and finished with layered glazes, lustres and precious-metal details. Her work ranges from standalone specimens and framed collections to immersive swarms that occupy architectural spaces. In 2011, her first immersive exhibition placed 10,000 ceramic insects in Nottingham Castle, and subsequent installations have been shown internationally. Her official biography also records collections developed for Anthropologie and Liberty, mentoring for the Crafts Council and teaching contemporary fine craft at Nottingham Trent University.
