About
Liz Christiansen is a Brisbane artist and surface pattern designer creating artwork for brands and consumer products. Her practice draws on more than 25 years in branding and graphic design, combining a strong graphic structure with colour, movement and layered imagery. She works across repeating patterns and mixed media, bringing together collage, painted elements, drawing, ink and digital methods. The resulting designs are intended for textiles, fashion, homewares, stationery, packaging and lifestyle products. She offers exclusive and non-exclusive licensing, collaborations and commissions, including custom patterns and product collections. Alongside commercial work, she has taught typography and design at university level and maintains an exhibiting art practice, with her work selected for the 2023 Uppercase Surface Pattern Design Guide.
