Gail Myerscough is a surface pattern designer and illustrator based in South Manchester, working with imagery drawn from mid-century design, music and architecture. Her collections explore subjects including British Brutalist buildings, vinyl records and seaside locations, translating them into bold graphic prints and patterned products. She designs from her home studio and offers art prints, greeting cards, homewares, clothing and accessories made in the UK. After studying surface pattern design, she returned to digital techniques in 2014 and launched her studio in 2015 while still working at the Royal Exchange Theatre. Her practice now combines a retail and wholesale product range with licensing, bespoke illustration and brand collaborations. Commissioned projects documented on her site include museum-shop illustrations, music-related artwork and a limited-edition turntable design.
