David Parton is a furniture designer, maker and cabinetmaker working from rural South Oxfordshire. After training at Rycotewood College, he established his own workshop in 1995 and has since made freestanding furniture, fitted cabinetry, kitchens and unusual individual commissions. He works directly with each client, taking an initial conversation, sketch or photograph through design development and detailed drawings. Proportions, materials and construction are resolved before the same maker builds the finished piece. The service can extend to delivery, fitting and installation, maintaining continuity between the original brief and the workbench. His portfolio includes domestic interiors and outdoor one-off projects.
