Edward Prince is a furniture designer and craftsman based in New Zealand. He trained in 3D design, fine craftsmanship and environmental design in the UK before developing experience in interior design, furniture manufacturing and his own workshop. Since moving to New Zealand in 1994, he has designed for manufacturers, architects, interior designers and private clients. His independent practice produces bespoke furniture, one-off art pieces and small batches, combining timber with materials such as stone, metal and glass. He also has a background teaching furniture making and design, with postgraduate study in design management. Commissions can be customised around size, materials, details and the intended space.
