Mathieu Zurstrassen is a Brussels-based visual artist whose practice combines interactive installations, kinetic machines and conceptual performance. Trained as an architect at La Cambre, he moved into visual arts in 2013 and brings an interest in structure and spatial experience to his work. His portfolio presents machines, physical interventions and projects built around questions of recognition, meaning and communication. Selected works include Sisyphus, Sound Portals, The Guardian and Legibility Without Access, with an archive tracing projects from 2014 onward. His work has been shown at Ars Electronica, KIKK Festival and a Venice Biennale OFF context. The practice uses mechanical and interactive forms to invite a response from the viewer, rather than relying solely on a static object.
