Matt DesLauriers is a Canadian artist based in the United Kingdom whose practice centres on software, code and generative processes. He also develops open-source tools and libraries that support creative coding and the production of algorithmic artwork. His projects extend across interactive installations, digital editions, printed work and books, including the long-form generative project Meridian. Pattern Language draws on traditional weaving patterns from Balestrand in Norway, while The Sferic Project investigates natural radio signals and atmospheric noise. His portfolio also includes Wayfinder, a generative poetry game made with the National Film Board of Canada, and LUMOS, an interactive light sculpture exhibited at Ontario Place in Toronto.
