Mimato is a small Berlin ceramics studio run by Meike, whose practice also encompasses design and illustration. She shapes, paints and glazes the pieces herself, working intuitively and producing either small batches or individual objects. The ceramics are formed freely by hand without moulds, so the making process remains apparent in their surfaces and outlines. Intentional irregularities are part of the work rather than details removed to achieve uniformity across a collection. The studio's shop spans cups, plates, bowls and butter dishes alongside wall plates, candleholders, vases and lamps, bringing its handmade approach to both practical household objects and decorative pieces. Meike publishes further views of her process and new work through the studio's linked social account.
