Kim Hu is a freelance illustrator, concept artist and designer whose imagery draws on large cities, neon light, comic books, video games, monster films and pop-cultural ephemera. Hu received a design diploma in 2011 and an MFA in 2021, and has worked professionally in the creative field throughout the intervening years. The practice combines illustration with concept development, making it suitable for projects where a visual world must be defined as well as rendered. In 2022 Hu received a BAFTA for work on the video game Rollerdrome, contributing to the title's visual aesthetic as lead concept artist. The portfolio also notes coverage in outlets including Kotaku, Forbes and Aftermath and presents Hu as available for client work internationally.
