Claire Shorrock is a freelance illustrator based in Bristol, where she graduated from the University of the West of England with a BA in Illustration in 2011. That year she won the Bristol Short Story Prize cover competition and received a highly commended result in the Macmillan Prize for her picture book Magnus. The book was exhibited at Foyles in London and subsequently published by Lion Children's in July 2015. Her official selected-client list covers children's publishing, greeting cards, magazines, cultural organisations and commercial brands, indicating a practice that extends beyond picture books. Her personal portfolio brings together work, a shop and a blog. Shorrock is available for commissions and collaborations and is represented by Plum Pudding illustration agency.
