About
Ben Hickey is a Brooklyn-based illustrator whose portfolio is centred on editorial and cultural commissions. He creates images for newspapers, magazines, digital publications and identity-led projects, working with art directors on subjects that range from politics and technology to culture, sport and everyday life. The portfolio includes assignments for major publications as well as festival graphics and self-initiated drawings, giving the practice a mix of rapid editorial response and longer-form visual development. Hickey's work has appeared in annual illustration selections from The New York Times, The Economist, The Guardian and ProPublica. Listed collaborators include The Atlantic, Financial Times, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, Wired, Microsoft, Vox, Pentagram and many other editorial organisations.
