About
Jenna Lechner is a freelance illustrator in Portland, Oregon, with more than fifteen years of experience. She works primarily with traditional media such as watercolour and ink, creating detailed patterns, maps, timelines and educational illustrations around horticulture, food, history and Pacific Northwest ecology. Research is an important part of her process, especially when an image needs to explain a specialised subject accurately while remaining inviting. Lechner also teaches art and has training in printmaking, atelier methods, horticulture and naturalist studies. Her client and publishing experience includes Adobe, Starbucks, Hachette, the National Park Service, Travel Oregon and The Pudding.
