Jamie Mills is a freelance illustrator, artist and gardener based in Sheffield, UK, specialising in ecological illustration. His work is centred on climate, conservation and nature connection, using close observation and tactile image-making to communicate environmental subjects to different audiences. Mills works particularly with textured monoprinting and collage, drawing on subjects such as rockpools, streams and overlooked plant life. Commissioned formats include editorial illustration, book covers, illustrated non-fiction, environmental reports, packaging and brand assets for nature-focused organisations. Alongside studio work, he has more than ten years of experience teaching illustration in higher education, has led drawing and printmaking workshops, and has presented research on ecological illustration at conferences.
