Noosh! Studios is the practice of Chris Neuenschwander, an Atlanta-area printmaker who works under the name Chris Noosh! and lives in Marietta. He studied at Kennesaw State University, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on printmaking, drawing and painting. His relief-printing process begins with carving a wooden block, which is inked and passed through a press to transfer the image onto paper, wood or clothing. Some carved blocks instead become individually painted works that are never printed. Humorous animals, expressive shapes, repeated forms and textured surfaces provide recurring subjects and visual interests. Alongside original prints and shirts, the studio offers commissioned woodcuts, workshops and live printmaking activities where event guests can take part in making artwork.
