Isidore Bryant is a woven-textile design studio founded in Bristol in 2023 by Elizabeth Ballon. The practice brings together artisan techniques with references drawn from history, fine art and travel to develop fabrics. Ballon graduated in 2016 with a specialism in woven textile design and gained international experience across the textile and fashion industries before establishing the studio. Her professional background includes work with LOFT, Malhia Kent, Giles Deacon and Chanel, experience that informs the design and practical knowledge behind the independent practice. The studio takes its name from her paternal grandfather and maternal great-grandmother, linking its identity to a stated emphasis on craft, creativity and traceability. Its collection is available to view by enquiry through the Bristol studio at 432 Gloucester Road.
