Grafikmo is the printmaking and art practice of Edinburgh-based artist and designer Maureen Mitchell. A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, she holds a design degree and postgraduate diplomas in jewellery and silversmithing and in graphic design. After running a jewellery business for ten years, she returned to study and developed a practice focused on prints, collage and watercolour. Botanical printing with a gel plate connects her interest in plants with experimentation in image-making. Her portfolio presents recent prints, while an accompanying blog documents techniques, sources of inspiration and the development of her work. Selected pieces are available through her independent online shop.
