Zane Shumeiko is a Latvian textile and mixed-media artist who has lived and worked in Tallinn, Estonia, since 2014, and runs her own art studio there. Her practice focuses on hand embroidery and free-motion stitching, exploring the psychological and reflective aspects of making. She studied textile art in Latvia, fashion textiles in Milan and design and crafts at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Her work has been presented through exhibitions, projects and residencies across Europe and beyond. Alongside her own art, she teaches as a guest lecturer and leads workshops for adult learners and students, connecting experimental textile processes with creative expression and well-being.
