Hannah Buechler is a Los Angeles-based artist working across textiles, painting and beadwork. Her tactile collages develop through repeated small gestures, accumulating wool, felt, rubber bands and other materials into dense surfaces. She threads coloured rubber bands onto wool strips before needle-felting them to a base, creating marks that recall brushstrokes and topographic patterns. Reuse and the properties of synthetic materials are central to her research. She holds a BFA in fibres from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she also minored in painting, and has worked in fashion and textile design. Alongside her studio practice, she advises prospective art students on application portfolios and welcomes collaboration and commission enquiries.
