Beth Munro is a printmaker whose work explores the natural world and the relationship between human activity and other species. She works across etching, drypoint, linocut and monoprint, choosing processes according to the subject and the marks an image needs. After graduating in Environmental Sculpture in 1990, she developed a career in landscape design and horticulture before returning to printmaking in 2013. Her portfolio includes marine subjects and hybrid monotypes, often drawing attention to the character and vulnerability of individual organisms. Alongside her own work, she teaches and supports print facilities and programmes at Ocean Studios in Plymouth. Her practice also extends to illustration, commissions, exhibitions and collaborative publications.
