Therese Kavanagh is an independent artist and printmaker working from a home studio in Limerick, Ireland. After a career in graphic and web design, she returned to fine art through the slower, hands-on process of linocut. Her imagery draws on Irish wildlife, natural forms and mythology, interpreted through a contemporary graphic approach with occasional whimsical animal subjects. She carves each block herself and uses traditional relief printing methods with professional inks and hand-torn archival paper. Her online collection includes both limited editions and other original hand-printed designs. A member of the Local Art and Craft Limerick group, she also exhibits through local pop-up events, art fairs and markets.
