Janis Brod is a freelance cinematographer and director based in Berlin and working internationally. His practice centres on documentary authenticity, bringing an interest in real people and places to branded content, documentaries and fiction projects. He enjoys small crews, live locations, natural light and working with non-professional actors when a project calls for a semi-documentary approach. He holds bachelor's and master's qualifications in cinematography from Film University Babelsberg and also studied in Lisbon. Available as a director of photography, directing cinematographer, colourist or photographer, he can also provide complete video production for corporate and social media projects. His portfolio includes both personal films and commercial work, with direct contact available for bookings and collaborations.
