Alexander Shayle is a London-based industrial designer whose independent practice builds on experience at commercial design consultancies. He works with clients across product strategy, creative direction, concept design and manufacture, connecting early ideas with the practical requirements of producing physical objects. Alongside commercial assignments, Shayle develops self-directed furniture and product projects centred on form, proportion and materiality, with architecture serving as a recurring point of reference. He describes his design language as a balance of futurism, functionality and familiarity. By bringing manufacturing knowledge into experimental work, he explores new product typologies for the home while retaining a clear route from concept to fabrication.
