Julia Egger is a Belgium-based photographer working across portrait, documentary and editorial projects throughout Europe. Originally from Germany, she trained through a craft-based photographic education with an emphasis on technique and studio practice. Her work combines carefully constructed lighting and framing with spontaneous movement, emotion and personal expression. She collaborates with artists, makers, independent professionals and small brands, developing visual stories around the people behind a project. Her Singular sessions focus on individual artistic portraits, while Off Record offers documentary-style images for artists, brands and events. Colour, texture and the relationship between control and coincidence are recurring elements in her photographic language.
