Samantha Sobhani is an independent painter working from London, United Kingdom. The official portfolio centres on lyrical contemporary abstract painting, using painted and erased surfaces. The work is developed through subconscious imagery, layered mark-making and influences ranging from Persian miniatures to Surrealist artists, giving each series a distinct material and visual character. The site documents original works, studio-led projects and the evolving direction of the practice rather than work made for a single commercial brief. Is an English-Iranian painter and a recent Royal College of Art graduate. The portfolio is suited to collectors, exhibition organisers and clients seeking an individual painting practice with a clear connection between subject, process and finished physical work.
