Nela Dunato is an artist, designer, writer and educator based in Rijeka, Croatia, specialising in human-centred brand identity. She has worked professionally in design since 2005 and founded her own studio, Nela Dunato Art & Design, in 2013 after deciding that agency roles did not accommodate the full range of her creative interests. Her branding work is aimed mainly at consulting businesses and non-profits, connecting strategy, visual identity and a client’s values into a coherent story. Beyond client projects, she teaches design and branding workshops, speaks at conferences and universities, and wrote The Human Centered Brand as a practical guide for small businesses. Her wider practice also includes drawing, painting and writing, which she integrates into a deliberately multidisciplinary studio model.
